A county tax for doing business in your county. The term Occupational Tax Certificate has replaced the term of Business License.

2. Can I come into the office to do my application?

3. Can I apply for an occupational tax certificate (business license) online?

Yes, go to primeweb.co.henry.ga.us and follow the prompts to complete either Homebased or Commercial Based application. Commercial Based application is if you own or rent a commercial location to do business. Homebased is for those who use their primary residence for office only.

4. I want to file for an LLC or INC?

Please apply with https://sos.ga.gov/ before applying for your Occupational Tax Certificate.

5. How much does an Occupational Tax Certificate cost

1. It is based off your gross receipts and type of service.

6. I have not started my business; how do I calculate my gross receipts?

It’s just an estimate base it off your business plan for the next 12 months.

7. How long does it take to get an Occupational Tax Certificate?

 Homebased 3 to 5 days and Commercial have additional inspections with the fire and building department, additional fees will apply with each department.

8. Who needs to be on the application for my business license?

The homeowner for homebased and for commercial an owner or officer of your business.

9. When is my Occupational Tax Certificate due for renewal?

Renewal is January 1st, regardless when your start date was.
