No, the test is good for one renewal. If the emissions test was performed within the last 12 months a new test will not be required.

We recommend having your vehicle inspected four to six weeks prior to your registration renewal date to allow for any needed repairs. If it is your renewal date and your vehicle has failed the emissions test, a repair waiver may be issued if you meet all of the specified qualifications.
